On 1 December, the Observatoire national de l’Innovation Publique (the French national observatory of public innovation) will present the Franche-Comté region with a “Territoria” award in the “Consultation – local democracy” category, for its commitment to the Rhine-Rhône TGV Club.
This initiative, proposed by SNCF to its public and private partners in the areas to be served by the future high-speed service (opening on 11 December 2011), aims to mobilise decision-makers from the political, socio-economic, chamber-of-commerce and tourism worlds… in order to anticipate the effects of the TGV’s arrival, and to make the most of them.
Launched at the end of 2009, the Rhine-Rhône TGV Club has built on the experience of the “Club 320”, set up when the TGV Est (the eastern high-speed line, running at 320 km/h) entered service, by scaling up that initiative, with an ad hoc structure and stronger support for facilitation.
Today, four “territorial circles” (two of them in Franche-Comté) lead joint reflection and work, reflecting the specific features of each area concerned.
And we are delighted to support this fine exercise in territorial mobilisation, alongside SNCF and the members of the territorial circles, as we did with the Club 320.
So this award for the Franche-Comté region gives us the greatest pleasure!
